Standing behind President Nasser are the two officers Abdul Hamid al-Sarraj, director of the Deuxieme Bureau, and Ahmad Abdul Karim, who became a minister in the cabinet of the United Arab Republic. Also behind Nasser, to the right, is Egyptian Vice-President Abdul Latif al-Baghdadi.
