The introduction was made at Cairo International Airport by Lebanon's ambassador to Egypt Nadim Demashkieh (left), who had previously served as manager of President Quwatli's National Conserves Company in Damascus back in the 1930s. Quwatli was at the airport welcoming Saudi Crown Prince Saud, weeks after the Free Officers Revolution in Egypt. He had been based in Egypt since the first coup of 1949.
